It is a real pain trying to mute the notebook speakers in seminars, or courtroom waiting rooms, or airplanes, or restaurants, or, well, you get the picture. This little tip is really great. Take the speaker plug from an old set of earbuds; snip it at the end, and plug it in to your notebook. Presto, no sound. I LIKE this one.
