The Unkindest Cut of All - Apple cuts prices on IPhone

Link: Apple to offer $100 store credit to iPhone customers | One More Thing - CNET News.com.Iphonejobs If I could make intelligent pricing decisions, I would have Steve Jobs' money. But, I can't. Apparently, Steve has trouble too. After the Apple fan boys stood in line for days to buy an IPhone for $599 (that's $600 in real money), Apple and Jobs have cut the price $200 to $399, and the fan boys went into Internet revolt. Jobs has thrown them a bone, with $100 rebates. Uh, wait, it isn't really a rebate. It is a store credit. That means the boys get to spend their $100 on other overpriced Apple products. Hey, how about rebating the amount they were overpriced, Steve? In real money?
