Eye-Fi - Would You Pay $100 for a 2 Gig SD Card?

Link: Eye-Fi Home. Eyefi How lazy are you? Would you pay an $80 premium for a 2 Gig SD card that talked to your computer without taking it out of the camera? The EyeFi will send its photos directly from the camera wirelessly to a local network. It costs around $100 for a 2 GB card. Nowadays, I can get a 16 GB SD card for that same price. So, pilgrim, I ask again. Would you pay an extra $80 so that you don't have to take the card out of the camera, and insert it in a USB reader or SD slot in the computer? I think I would rather get the extra memory. I don't think my fingers will get overtaxed.

I have to agree. Get a regular 2GB for $13, and tip myself $1 the next 87 times I move the card or connect to usb.

I've been using Eye-fi now since Christmas and bought one for each household in my immediate family. The convenience and speed in which you can share your photos, is definitely worth it for us. The time you save is the push we needed to update our extended family with our day-to day events and special occasions. Time is worth that extra money!
