Courtport - Web 2.0 Access to Court Dockets and Filings

Link: Courtport.Courtport Courtport is a beta successor to the successful LegalDockets website, which links to courts, and filings in all 50 states. Since Accurint was acquired by one of the Death Star Legal Publishing companies, the prices for background and location and docket searching has gone through the roof. Courtport, in addition to taking you right to the public records database you need, will tell you up front if there is a charge, and how much. It has free discussion forums, a blog, and, most importantly, a way for the user to create his own links to Court sites that he visits frequently. I have already added a link to the Florida page. Very handy, and a free 30 day trial. After that, it is around $100 a year per seat. This is what Web 2.0 was made for; not for running mission critical software, with confidential data.
