JD Supra | Legal Documents, Legal Forms, Court Filings, Articles & Research by the Legal Community

Link: JD Supra | Legal Documents, Legal Forms, Court Filings, Articles & Research by the Legal Community. Jdsupra The brief bank meets Internet marketing in JD Supra, another beta pleadings and brief bank service that is now accumulating documents for retrieval over the net. The site solicits contributions from its members of pleadings, briefs, and other legal materials, for free access by other members. It is totally free, and the Electronic Frontier Foundation is a top contributor. This is a classic Internet version of the brief banks of large law firms; however, it goes one better since it is accessible over the net to anyone. If the quality of the contributions continues to grow, it will be an essential first source of pleadings and information for lawyers everywhere. It is also going to be a great source of internet marketing for contributing lawyers. What better way to get your work product out there where it can be seen by prospective clients. More sophisticated clients will be mining the net for such work product, and will look for firms and lawyers who have contributed quality material in the areas the client needs a lawyer.
