Google Chrome - Get a fast new browser. For PC, Mac, and Linux. Look, up in the sky! It's a bird, it's a plane, no, it's a new, faster browser! I know, I am beginning to sound like I have drunk the Kool Aid; but, the Google universe is becoming my choice for much of what I do on the net. Google news, Google mail, Google Calendar, Google's mobile OS, Android, and now Google's browser. I have been a die hard Firefox fan for a long time, as it was the anti-Microsoft. It was sleek and fast, and the add-ons and extensions made it really useful. Lately, however, Firefox has become as bloated and buggy, in my experience, as Internet Explorer. So, I decided to give Chrome a try. Wow. It is really fast, and it imported all of my Firefox settings and bookmarks with ease. It still has some small glitches; but, so far it is really great. Give it a try; it is free, and I am certain you will feel like you traded in your clunker for a sports car.

All of these years I have not had a problem with Firefox until the last several months. Especially after I converted to 7. It keeps crashing. I have had several look at it, we have reinstalled it. It does not crash as much, but it still crashes. For a non-techie like me, that means it is time for it to go.

Hi
What is your view on the lack of privacy you'll have to endure with Chrome?

Actually, Will, since when has there been any privacy on the net? In fact, any email client or any browser available now is no more or less secure than Chrome. And, in the wonderful world of legal discovery, anything you do on the net is discoverable in relevant litigation. I keep my back office data, such as clients, matters, billing and such on non Internet computers. However, I admit that there is a risk in sending email, or browsing the web. Of course, I don't stop driving my car because of the risk of an accident or injury. Criminals will always exist. Such is life.
