Sony Ericsson HBH-DS970 Bluetooth headset Review - Headsets - CNET Reviews. Saturdays are sometimes spent digging through the electronic junk box around here. So many gadgets get tossed aside, and only later do I find a use for them. So, sometimes I just start digging through the box. This morning, the gem was an old stereo bluetooth headset that I used to use with my first Palm smartphones. It is a small pendant style device that hangs around the neck and connects to any bluetooth smart phone or mp3 player. It occurred to me that my rooted Viewsonic Gtablet 10 inch Android tablet had a bluetooth chip, and this little guy might be the perfect way to listen to audio and make WiFi phone calls wirelessly. I charged it up, and the device paired with the tablet effortlessly. In a couple of minutes, I was wirelessly watching and listening to my tablet. It even has a microphone for making WiFi phone calls with Skype or comparable software. What kind of useful stuff do you have lying around the house?
