Chrome Remote Desktop Controls Other Computers from a Chrome Tab. 
This interesting new Chrome extension allows a computer user to control another computer running the same extension. There are a lot of remote connection options out there; but, this one is easy to install and use. Of course, you have to make certain that the other user is using the Chrome browser, and I found that problematic in friends who are not computer power users. So, some pre-training will be necessary to get your friend or relative to switch to Chrome. Once done, just install the extension, and they can turn over their problems to you without wasting gas. Now, go call your mother.
