How to Launch Multiple Apps at Once in Windows 7 With a Single Shortcut - How-To Geek. Happy Monday morning. I know, Mondays are tough for me too. However, I like to learn a new utility or shortcut on Mondays to make my work easier and faster. It makes Friday come faster. Okay, no it doesn't; but, it seems like it. If you are like me, you have a routine for the programs you use most often in your practice. I have shortcuts in the Taskbar for my word processing software, my document assembly software, my financial software, my real estate practice software, and so on. I usually open them one at a time, and then switch back and forth. Some of them, like my document scanning software, and PDF viewer, remain open in the background all day long. And, of course, the browser is always open for access to web based programs. This little utility allows the opening of all that stuff with one hot key. Just assign a key combination to a group with any name you choose, and presto, you can go get some coffee while the computer does the work for you.
