HDD Price Watch: The Impact of Thailand%u2019s Floods - How-To Geek.
Sometimes, I have grave reservations about the priorities of the residents of my planet. Worrying about the prices of hard drives going up because of the 2011 Thai flooding is so outrageous that I can't believe it. Hey, I get it. We are inundated with natural disasters. We have had our share in the U.S. But, please. 815 people died, and 13.5 million Thai lives were permanently changed for the worse. And we are worried about a hard drive costing a hundred dollars more? We can't do everything for everyone who has suffered a natural disaster. But, each of us can do something. While we enjoy the benefits of life in the United States, we need to look in the mirror and ask ourselves what we have done lately. Do what you can. Then, do some more.
