The most intriguing thing about Windows 8 is the ability to run tablet apps (in the new Metro UI) side by side with all of your existing Windows applications on the same device. The first Windows 8 devices are expected at the end of 2012. I do so much productive content creation on Windows 7, and I love the tablet interface for consuming content. However, this requires two devices for now. Side by side functionality is amazing.Of course, for real content creation, you will need a bluetooth keyboard accessory. Current tablets show the folly of attempting to touch type on a virtual keyboard. Still, this new way of computing looks like a winner to me.
