The Best and Worst Hotels for Wi-Fi, 2012 Edition. The thing I love most about a tablet with a 4G LTE radio on board is that I don't have to read articles like this. I don't have to decide on a hotel based upon whether there is free WiFi or not, and I don't have to worry about public WiFi security everywhere I go. I do not understand why anyone would buy a tablet without one of these radios; except for cost. And, at $50 a month for 5 Gigabytes of band width, and a free WiFi Hotspot application so that all your other devices, and your family's devices, and your friends' devices can connect simultaneously, makes the choice a no brainer. I know. I know. Some of you will say that you don't mind searching for a WiFi hotspot when you are out and about. But, do you know where that WiFi hotspot has been? Do you spend time sanitizing the connection? Are you sure you aren't being spoofed? When you have access to the Verizon Wireless 4G LTE network, there aren't too many places you can go in the United States where you will not have instant on Internet, no searching necessary. And, when I am home or at the office, my tablet automatically connects to my home or office WiFi, so I seldom have to use my bandwidth. Spare yourself some grief and aggravation. Get a 4G LTE radio equipped tablet. If you don't want to spend $50 a month, you can get 2 Gigabytes for around $30. I figure I save about $50 every time I don't have to search for public WiFi, and spend 15 minutes on security.

Except for the people who travel internationally - those data plans either don't have international roaming or charge the black market cost of several limbs to use.
I love your posts, but I think in this instance you're being a tiny bit short sighted.

Not short sighted, Chaundra. I am only talking about United States. Not many of us can afford to travel internationally. Inside the U.S., however, many of us do. I stand by my statements.
