Verizon HomeFusion: 4G LTE for the home | ZDNet. Verizon is packaging a home router and roof antenna for use in the home; but, this isn't DSL. It accesses the Verizon 4G LTE network, and permits 4 wired, and up to 20 wireless connections inside your home. The benefit is that you get broadband without worrying about cables to the phone or cable company, and testing shows it is almost as fast as DSL or Cable. The disadvantage is that it is tiered, and there is a $10 per Gigabyte overage charge. 30 Gigabytes a month, not out of the ordinary for a large family in the home, is $120 a month, and there is a setup and installation charge of $199. Plus, you get to tie yourself to Verizon for the standard two year contract. The future of home Internet? Verizon, I don't think so.
