Verizon Expands 4G LTE Coverage, Reaches 75 Percent of U.S. Population - Mobile and Wireless - News & Reviews - eWeek.com. Now that Verizon Wireless 4G LTE coverage has reached 75% of the population, it is fair to ask: "Why aren't you a Big Red 4G customer? Smartphone coverage and reliability are easily the two most important parts of the decision of carrier. 4G is so blazing fast, compared to 3G, that it is impossible to rationalize the choice of another cell carrier. Do any readers have an argument against Verizon?
