Finicky In-House Counsel Refuse to Pay Law Firms for 'Legal Miscellany' - News - ABA Journal.
Like I needed another reason to be a solo. First, law firms that are charging $800 to $1200 an hour shouldn't be tacking on charges for Sushi. To those big time clients who are paying those rates, you probably do have a "beef"; but, I have a modest proposal. Hire a solo for $325 an hour, and make sure he never goes near a Sushi bar. Most of us are content with a hamburger at McDonald's. And, because we work alone, you won't have to worry about our attention being drawn to the next big client. You will be that client.
