Surprise...Dutch Court Agrees That Apple Doesn't Own The Rectangle

Galaxy tablets do not infringe Apple patents, says Dutch court | ZDNet.

Unlike the American court that assessed damages against Samsung for violating Apple's design patents, it appears that another country's courts disagree. Galaxy tablets have been found not to infringe Apple patents in Dutch courts, in addition to the U.K. It is comforting to know that rectangular tablets with rounded corners are safe, somewhere on earth, from the patent police. Now, those of us who own and use Samsung tablets and phones need to find a safe harbor that doesn't require a trip across the pond.
