Apple - iPhone - iPhone 4 Technical Specifications.
Anyone who has ever lived in close proximity to a teenager's room (some days you seriously consider the nuclear option) will identify with this true story. My son, spending a day at another teens house, called to say that he couldn't find his phone, an iPhone 4 that I purchased against my better judgment. They searched the dark hole that was the other teen's room for hours; but, couldn't find it. Perhaps, the phone just wanted to find a peaceful place to curl up and die. Now, I found myself in a test of my resolve. I had vowed never to purchase another iPhone, and needed a strategy to give the kid access to the rest of the world. I offered my backup phone, a like new Galaxy Nexus, which I had rooted and on which I had installed the latest version of Jelly Bean. After days of resisting, he accepted this substitution, and grudgingly joined the Android universe. However, while I don't understand teens' fascination with the brain dead iPhones, I relented, and went to the Verizon store to inquire about replacing it. The clerk gave me the "Are you kidding me?" price of $500 for a new one. (The shock words are mine). Keep in mind that the 4 is two versions behind the current one, an elongated version that Apple "innovated" into an extra line of icons. Then, I did what I should have done first, go online to Ebay to find a hardly used one, which I did for $180. Hey, I love my kid, and I held my nose long enough to order the thing. Now, I am left with a happy kid and no principles. That's life.
