Evernote Hacked? Say It 'Ain't So!

Evernote forcing users to change password after hacking attempt | Android Central. Just when you thought it was safe to go back in the water, Evernote users were greeted over the weekend with the message that, to log in to Evernote, the user MUST change the password. This hack exploit that affects millions of Evernote users merely highlights the risks users take sending their data to the cloud. Of course, we are way beyond anyone avoiding the cloud. It has become an essential tool for Internet users and business. You have to be connected to get along in an online world; and, to get along, you need to do business in the cloud. So, choosing cloud providers becomes like choosing a spouse. No matter how careful you are, you can get burned. And, sometimes, you have to keep running that play until you get it right. Think about it. If it becomes mandatory to file pleadings in the court system (and that has already happened in my home state of Florida, as of April 1st), you are sending your pleadings into the cloud to be stored on the courthouse computers. How long before someone tries to hack the courthouse? Hmmm....
