Adobe Flash: I'm not dead yet! | ZDNet. As Mark Twain once said: "The reports of my death have been greatly exaggerated". Flash may no longer be supported on Android; and, it may be the poor step-child of online video. Know this, however. You will be seeing flash video on the Internet long after we are both dead. Just because Adobe no longer supports it, and everyone is moving to the more recent HTML5 standard, doesn't mean there aren't millions of videos out there that people want to watch. Even Microsoft's Silverlight, which was to be as important as the Second Coming, has been relegated to the dust bin of history by humble flash animation. Just because Flash was never adopted as a standard doesn't mean it isn't the most popular video application of all time. And, it isn't going away anytime soon. Flash may be dead; but, it is still alive and kicking.
