Transitioning From Google Reader To Feedly

Transitioning from Google Reader to feedly | Building Feedly. I have spent the morning looking for a Google Reader alternative. Feedly looks like the best bet so far; although, the photo centric approach that is becoming common to most social media takes some getting used to. Google Reader is text centric, and I am used to scanning the headlines first, before checking the photos. Feedly, and Flipboard, and Facebook, and Google+ have all started making photos much bigger, and your eye gets distracted by them. But, Futurelawyer is all about adaptation (adapt and overcome) and I will get used to it. Anyway, the big advantage of Feedly is that it seamlessly transports all of your Reader RSS feeds. I dreaded having to resubscribe to all my feeds. I will let you know if Feedly continues to impress.

I must admit that Google ending Reader on short notice has ticked me off. Thanks for the advice.

You can change the appearance of Feedly so it is text, the way you're used to. It has all kinds of different setting available and is very flexible. I've been using it for years--it's a great feed reader.
