Exclusive first look: Pics and video of the new Nexus 7 | Android Central. The second version of the popular Nexus 7 tablet will be announced on July 24th, and it promises to have a faster processor, a rear camera, and a higher price. At 16 and 32 Gig versions, it will have more storage than the original Nexus 7. I have the 8 Gig original, and I am keeping it. The additional features, and a higher price, don't contain any mind blowing features that will necessitate a switch. If you don't have a 7 inch tablet yet, however, the new Nexus 7 deserves a look. There will be a 4G version, if you want to carry your Internet with you, as well. If you are a member of the Googleverse, this is the 7 inch tablet to get. I carry mine around and connect to the net through tethering to my smartphone. However, lately, given the portability and size of my Note 2, I am using it primarily as a book, newspaper and magazine reader. I seldom play games (who has the time?); but, when I do, it is my preferred device as well.
