Google Assistant, four months later: Still fragmented, still unfinished, still the best. A conversation with a computer, capable of searching all human knowledge, and speaking it back to a human being...this is the Holy Grail of computing, and has been for decades. Google Assistant, with advances in Artificial Intelligence engines, shows the promise of true computer intelligence, and is the next step in the evolution of smart machines that can interact with humans. Unlike the Library computer holograms in the SciFi movies, Google Assistant is here now. While SWMBO has had it for a few weeks on her Pixel XL phone, it has yet to come to my Nexus 6P; but, I will be getting access to it in a few days when it comes to my LG Watch Urbane 2d Edition LTE SmartWatch. While I hate the ugly plastic band on the LG, I will wear it just for the ability to talk to my computer in a conversational tone. I am anxious to see how smart this thing really is. "OK Google Assistant. Can you help me?"
