I am so much in favor of video court appearances. For pretty much everything. Status Conferences, Default Judgments, Arraignments, Administrative Law Hearings, Traffic/Misdemeanor trials, Rule Day. Just about everything but the actual trial by jury. If it is a judge trial, I would like to see pretty much all of the witness, and shoulders up of everybody else. Yes, have the people all face the camera, no burkas.
