I don't think you can enjoy living as much if you regularly think about dying.

Of course you can. Even more. The constant reminder of dying gives an urgency and brightness to every day of life. Ask someone who has had a near death experience whether their days aren't better lived. Death is a reality. Knowing it can happen any moment makes each moment more special; and, reduces the likelihood that we will waste it in indolence, or laziness.
