Snapcrap lets you take pictures of poop on sidewalks and report it to the city - CNET. I have, in the past, mocked the political correctness movement, and city governments that try to regulate the sugar content of soft drinks. But, a new app, SnapCrap, that allows San Francisco residents to take photos of human and animal feces on the sidewalks, and send them to city officials for clean up, and which uses GPS in the phones to locate the offending piles, has me alternately laughing and crying. Perhaps the city fathers should focus on the root of the problem, which is the homeless who are allowed to take advantage of the kindness of the typical citizen. There must be a limit to the attitudes that allow this to occur.
