What to do? What to do? I have put away my Ipod, and use my Treo for
all my music. My Treo is becoming my preferred method of getting TV,
since I can use SlingMedia's
Palm application, or tune to one of 50 cable channels with my MobiTV
subscription. And, the Treo is still the best cell phone I ever used.
But, how do I listen to my tunes and watch my TV in stereo with a mono
bluetooth earset? I hate wearing cumbersome headphones, and the wires
are always getting in the way. Well, I knew that I was in gadget heaven
when I found the Sony Ericsson Walkman headset. Simple, Ipod like
earbuds, with a tiny one-ounce control that hangs from my neck. And,
look Ma, no cables? It connects via BlueTooth to my Treo within a 15 to
30 foot radius! The only catch is that the Treo needs additional
software to support the A2DP stereo BlueTooth standard. AudioGateway,
by Softick, does the job nicely.
Total Tab? $20 for the software, and $170 for the headset. Pricey, but
I WANT my music, and, like my daughter, I want it now.
