Ex-Big Law Attorneys Overcome Obstacles and Start Successful Small Firms

Link: Ex-Big Law Attorneys Overcome Obstacles and Start Successful Small Firms. This is a great post by fellow solo, Steve Imparl about the risks and rewards of a move to solo practice from biglaw. I never had the security of a biglaw practice, so I probably don't have a clue what you biglaw types are worrying about. I can, however recommend this post asa starting point for your research if you are contemplating a change.

Rick,

Thanks for the link. I am always encouraged to see stories like this because they assure me that major career transitions are possible. Like you, I've pretty much always had a solo practice (except for a year when I was volunteering at a local legal clinic), so I am not familiar with the "big law" world except through hearing about it from various friends and colleagues, and reading about it.

Keep up the great blogging!
