First, let's get something straight. I don't go to strip clubs. Okay, maybe when I was young and feisty, many years ago, I might have entered one while going to college in New Orleans. I spent some quality time on Bourbon Street in various stages of intoxication. However, I am old and smarter now, and don't do that anymore. Notwithstanding my current sober, moral stance, it is offensive to me that biglaw feels the need to fire an Associate because he allegedly took another employee to a strip club on a Friday night out. When the morals police can eliminate your job because you went to a particular establishment after hours, I realize why I am a solo lawyer. In fact, since Tampa is well known for strip clubs, I might just go to one next weekend to prove a point. Of course, She Who Must Be Obeyed will have to give prior consent; which I don't anticipate being a problem because she certainly knows that I am quite harmless at my age.
