Link: Download details: Internet Explorer 7 Beta 2 (Windows XP SP2). If you want to see what Microsoft has planned for Internet Explorer, you can download the new beta version of Internet Explorer 7 today. IE7 promises tabbed browsing (a la Mozilla, SeaMonkey, FireFox, Opera, etc), RSS feeds, and better security. Since I seldom use IE, but do use it for updating my XP Service Pack 2 system, I will try it out and let you know what I think. But, if you are an inveterate Windows person, you should probably take a look. When Vista comes out next year, this is what IE should look like.
I just downloaded beta 7 on my computer. I have a one year old Dell 4600. It corrupted my hard drive. I do not use my computer more music or movies but on the other hand I have office 2000 on it. It is in fact protected with antivirus and and a firewall and and antspyware. I started to geta a back up system but I never did. I am not that computer literate but my strong recommendation is that if you try to do this you need a back up of one kind of another. The minute it was put on I started to have problems with errors message until I had to reload xp again. BETA 7 JUST IS NOT WORTH IT! If you want it that bad wait till they take out all the errors!
