Link: Firefox - Rediscover the Web.
I have been running side by side comparisons recently of the new Internet Explorer 7 and FireFox 2. While IE7 is better than 6, it still doesn't come close to the speed, customizability, improved security and ease of browsing of the new FireFox. You don't need Vista, you need to take a look at FireFox 2. I have even given up using its cousin, SeaMonkey. With the Netcraft plug-in and the built-in anti-phishing tools, this is the most secure browser out there, and it is FREE and open source. Don't encourage Microsoft by following it off the cliff, like a lemming.
After upgrading to IE7, the browser wouldn't launch at all. Tried disabling add-ons and still couldn't get it to launch. As a default, I am now using Firefox and find that I prefer it as a browser. Should have done that from the very beginning.
Firefox is designed very much like Mac interface. I wouldn't mind if Apple took over the business/personal computing space altogether.
