I know I sound like a broken record, but backup is even more important for lawyers than others. How many essential documents, files, and what sensitive information do you blithely store on your hard drive, when a simple hard disk crash could destroy it forever? I use Norton Ghost to back up to an external Western Digital USB 2.0 drive. This article contains several good solutions. I also use GoodSync to keep my documents folder backed up to a separate external drive. I do it religiously, and not just because it is Christmas Eve and a Sunday. This is one New Year's Resolution you can't afford not to keep.
