Link: Why You Should Use a Regular Font for Email : Christopher Null : Yahoo! Tech.
What if you got an email from another lawyer in a frilly font on a pink background? Would you take the message as seriously as a plain Times Roman missive on a white background? It seems obvious; however, as this post from Christopher Null points out, some serious scientific studies have verified the obvious. So, get rid of the fancy fonts, the busy backgrounds, and all the frill from your email software settings. You may not be projecting the image you want. I know. I know. It is fun to play with the settings. But, just as you should re-read every email before you press send, you need to look at the format you are sending. It says a lot about you as a lawyer.
