Link: Is Web 2.0 a Security Risk? - Yahoo! News.
I remember some years ago, at some legal conventions, discussing the NEW Application Hosting paradigm, the ASP. The big question was whether the data a law firm deposited on a remote server would be secure. What would happen if the application hosting site went out of business? Could the law firm user save data locally? All that seems far away as Web 2.0 applications have taken center stage. The new security risk seems to be employees who post private company information at web sites which leverage the Web 2.0 technology. Of course, law firms always have to be conscious of security, and must use the technology in a way that protects client confidentiality. But, who protects you from yourself?
