And, for another thing you can't do with your IPhone, here is the latest in BlueTooth GPS devices. This one plugs into the SD card slot at the top of the Treo 700p) and other Treo models, to turn the Treo into a walking around mobile GPS device. Currently, I use a separate BlueTooth GPS receiver that is tiny, and sits on the car dashboard. However, this one makes the Treo itself into a GPS receiver, and, with the addition of the TomTom navigation maps, will suit me fine on my next hike in the wilderness. Like I ever WILL hike in the wilderness, with She Who Must Be Obeyed, whose idea of roughing it includes any hotel that Paris Hilton's daddy doesn't own.
So has anything happed in the Cell World that you can't take a free shot at iPhone about? it's pretty funny!
Love the site!

The only problem with the Spectec 812 GPS sd card is that it doesn't work with the 700P (if it works for you please let me know how). after many days trying to get answers on the spectec.com.tw discussion forum I found out it is because the Treo sd slot only powers the card when something is happening on it. the only workaround suggested is to play a tune that is stored on the memory card of the GPS in a continuous loop with pocket tunes. then start the GPS software and pair it through bluetooth. then it does work-convenient right! I returned mine for a refund. Oh, it DOES work on a PC or laptop with an sd card slot because they supply constant power. I did get my Treo GPS software to work with the GPS that way but who wants to carry arount a laptop so you can use your Treo. If you want to run mapping software on a laptop then it will work fine.
