Link: Windows XP SP3 boasts speed boost, testers claim. It has been over a year since Microsoft loosed Vista on to the world, and the world was underwhelmed. If fact, Vista users who ignored my advice (and that of others) not to install Vista in the first place, are returning to XP in droves. Now, it appears that Service Pack 3 will be coming next year for existing users of Windows XP Service Pack 2, which is most of us. It is allegedly 10% faster, which will be nice. However, I much more appreciate the fact that XP is now a solid system, with most of the bugs worked out. For all you cool people who want the rest of us to switch to Apple Leopard or one of its forebears, because you are cool, and we aren't, I say, I dance with the one that brung me.
