Link: Palm Announces Verizon Treo 755p! - Treo and PalmOS news.
Verizon has finally announced the successor to the Treo 700p. The 755p loses the stubby antenna and is smaller and trimmer than the 700. However, Palm is a little too late with this phone, in my opinion. I have already switched to Sprint, and the Centro. This tiny little smart phone does everything the 755p does, and does it well. The tiny footprint slides into any pocket, and doesn't even weigh enough to notice. I love the Centro, and I will stay with Sprint. I should say that I have found Sprint's EvDO speeds not to match Verizon's , however, and I can't figure out why. They use the same network, after all. Oh, well.
I couldn't agree more. I don't understand why Palm is putting any more attention into the "large" treos. Seems like everything is getting smaller and thinner, and they accomplished it great with the Centro (still love mine), but why not begin to improve on the centro even more?
Apple makes a single phone, and does it well. Why not try to minimize your product line and work on improving fewer products. All in all the Palm corporation makes no sense to me, but I'm glad they made the centro!
