Say It Ain't So! CompUSA Going Away?

Link: Rumor: CompUSA going out of business in January - Engadget. If this rumor is true, I will be very sad. I could have sworn that I was keeping CompUSA solvent all by myself. There is something about prowling the aisles of a big box computer store that I enjoy. You never know what you will find in the clearance bin. You can always get hands on the latest gadget. I will enjoy the liquidation sale, if it is indeed going to happen in January. I hope this rumor is just a rumor.

Well CompUSA won't be missed too much here in Corpus Christi Texas. CompUSA prices are high even when they are on sale. Best Buy, Circuit City, and Altex are the only three remaining after CompUSA closes other than the smaller mom & pop shops here and the above three are not much better on the prices than CompUSA. I try to support the local stores here whenever I can but sometimes it's not possible when the online stores will save me more money. Oh well, can't wait to see who fills CompUSA spot here. Hoping for a Fry's but Best Buy might fry them too.
