Link: Mozilla Firefox 3 Release Candidate Release Notes.
The release candidate for Firefox 3 is available for download. I have downloaded it, and am using it already. I am a brave soul. I have temporarily lost my add ons; but, they will return as the browser is updated. In the meantime, version 3 is fast, fast, fast. The look is improved, and did I say it is FAST? You can try it alongside your existing browser if you like. Just install to a separate directory.
there's an easy way to keep using the add-ons (other than see if there is a new version). Change two things in the about:config file, and they'll reappear. The plug-ins may or may not work, but it's worth a shot.
Also, if you're not using it yet, check out Foxmarks. Syncs your bookmarks on all machines that you set it up for. Now my laptop, desktop #1, desktop #2, and server all have the same links. Nothing's lost!
