Aptera. The Aptera 2E is a two passenger, electric hybrid, three wheel vehicle. It has a top speed of 90 mph., and manufacturing begins in October of this year. In addition to green functionality, Aptera has used recycled plastics in the seats and interior construction. It accelerates from 0 to 60 in ten seconds, and it goes 100 miles on an 8 hour charge. If you use the gas engine, it goes 300 mpg. It has dual air-bags, solar assisted climate control, LED interior and exterior lighting, and optional GPS navigation. It will cost between $25,000 and $50,000, depending. You can put a deposit of $500 on one of these, if you live in California. You can let them know you are interested if you live in another State. Of course, you need to decide if you are serious about helping save the planet. Somehow, I think this product is going to be too pricey and too green for the great, huddled masses. What do you think?
Be sure to also check out the Zenn car - made in Canada and already in circulation. http://www.zenncars.com/
See especially the forthcoming City Zenn, planned to be a highway car with top speed of 125 KPH / 80 MPH and a range of 400 kilometres/250 miles.

I love that car. I thought I needed to by one, but they are only going to sell it in California for a while.
