Verizon iPhone around the corner? | Crave - CNET.
The end of 2009 should be interesting for smart phone and gadget lovers. Since I will not switch to Sprint just to get the Palm Pre, and Sprint has the exclusive on Pre until at least the end of the year, a Verizon IPhone would be very attractive to current Verizon subscribers. I would certainly consider combining the Palm Centro with the IPhone to eliminate the necessity of carrying both the iPod Touch and the Centro. However, the iPhone doesn't support Sling Mobile, which permits watching Sling video on the Centro, and doesn't have a program to match Quicken for internet banking. The iPhone doesn't have other features that the Pre will have; however, the iPhone would sell a lot of units to current Verizon Wireless customers, if available for the carrier. Decisions, decisions.
Sling has not come out with a version for iPhone. It plans to release it next month. http://tinyurl.com/7x55he
