Palm issues takedown for TealOS.
As a lawyer, I understand Palm being unhappy that Teal has a copycat OS for older Palm handhelds. As a longtime Palm user, I think that issuing a cease and desist letter to Teal, telling them they can no longer use or sell TealOS, is insane. Palm needs all the loyal Palm friends they can get, if they expect to sell the Palm Pre, and get as many users as possible to use Web OS. Getting Palm users familiar with the new interface; and, God forbid, loving it, seems to me to be a marketing tool. I downloaded, and am using, the Teal OS interface for my Palm Centro, and love it. It even made me think about buying a Palm Pre when Palm allows a decent cell phone company to market it. However, Palm, I suggest you get in touch with your loyal user base, and reverse this nutsy decision. Who is running your show, anyway?
