I have been seeing more articles lately about the Twitter business model, or lack thereof. Twitter reminds me a little of life vests. Bear with me here. If you are in a boat, having a life vest if the boat capsizes would seem to be one of life's essential items, yes? However, some boaters go a lifetime without the need to use a life vest. Twitter is like that. You might never use it; but, in an emergency, it might become the best source of good current information. I hope none of us ever becomes a hostage in a dangerous place. However, if we are, Twitter would certainly be a lifeline. So, I don't really care whether Twitter has a good business model or not. It needs to survive, just in case I need it.
