Google's Rubin: Android 'a revolution' | Digital Media - CNET News. Now that the last Terminator movie is out (please God), the real Android revolution can be revealed. Pundits, myself included, have been spending so much time talking about the iPhone-Palm Pre wars, that we have forgotten Google's addition to smart phone future. Android is a totally free operating system, that any manufacturer is free to use for their phones. Now that Version 1.5 is out, Android is showing promise of being the OS for the future of mobile phones, and the coming Samsung model (pictured here) is really nice looking. My current iGoogle desktop is a testament to the power of Google. Watch out for the coming revolution. There just might be an android in your future.
