Apple Says No To Google Voice On The iPhone | Techdirt. I love the iPod Touch. However, I hate the arbitrary control that Apple exerts over applications for it. Apple has a big headstart on the Palm Pre for applications for its devices; however, I predict that, over time, as the open Pre OS attracts more developers, that advantage will disappear entirely. I will use the Touch until I can get the same, and more, applications on the Pre. However, Apple had better take a long, hard look at the marketplace.
This is odd given the fact that I installed GV Mobile onto my iPhone last week, and am using it happily. And of course, one can always use Skype for the iPhone.

Apparently, users who downloaded it before it was pulled will still be able to use it. However, it is no longer available.
