Facebook is creating a lot of controversy with its new instant personalization service, which is a clever way of saying it will publish everything it knows about you to everyone on the web it knows about, unless you "opt out", and travel through nested menu systems to do so. Google just got burned for doing the same thing with Buzz, and Buzz is a flop so far. Facebook makes a lot of money with ads and such; but, if the company fails to take better care of their users' privacy, they may start losing users and revenue. In the meantime, get thee to Facebook, and change your privacy settings.
