Pwn with your Phone - Document Scanner.
This inexpensive ($3.98) app for Android is a worthy competitor to Scan2PDF. According to the authors, Document Scanner allows the creation of folders, which allows a user to work on multiple independent documents and to come back to them as needed. Unlike Scan2pdf, the user isn't committed to the completion of the entire process for a document at one time. A lawyer could create folders for each client, and scan as necessary. The scanned documents are not sent to a file server somewhere else; but, are converted to pdf and saved on the user's SD card, entirely within the phone. The user sends them directly to Google Docs for further action. The developer has no contact with the documents at all. The scans are very accurate, given the modern high pixel count of the phone cameras. Document Scanner is cheap, and FutureLawyer recommended, although the user should still be careful with confidential client documents. One of the things that I like about this developer is that it is willing to have its source code reviewed to guarantee that it doesn't mess with the scans (subject to a non-disclosure agreement, of course).
