Google removes cloud security barrier for the government | Cloud Computing - InfoWorld. On the one hand, if Google can convince the Government that it can secure information in the cloud, it makes me more likely to continue my move of law enterprise information to cloud based applications. On the other hand, this is the U.S. Government we are talking about. Google has a vested interest in getting enterprises to trust their most secure data to Google. The U.S. Government doesn't have the best record at preventing leaks of confidential information. Of course, nothing is completely secure. But, if a rogue organization like Wikileaks can publish thousands of pages of classified material, how secure can the cloud be for ordinary folks? I'm just saying.
