Smartphone As Your Most Dangerous Possession - Slashdot. As I have gradually, over the years, ceded more functionality to my cell phones, and now smartphones, I have had a nagging doubt about the control I am giving to anyone who has access to my phone, if stolen. As this post points out, no phone is really safe from hacker access. There are hacker tools that are specifically designed for smart phone access. The more of our lives we entrust to these useful little machines, the more important physical security becomes. So, keep the little guy in your possession at all times. Mine is on my hip or in my pocket all the time, and I still worry about pickpockets and thieves. As a matter of smart phone security, the more data we keep in the cloud, the safer it is. In one sense, then, it is better to do business in the cloud. Just pick a provider who is as security conscious as you are.
Rick, this in fact is confuseing to me. I have a Blackberry Curve 8530. I actually thought when I bought my first Blackberry I thought it was the best cell phone available. I then found that the real reason why people bought it was because of the security factor. Which in my understanding is the main reasone why professional people choose it. I Know know a bit more then I did before and I find I do not have features like flash player. My question is how do you compare the security of Blackberry to an android cell phone?
