At least in my installation, Google Scholar already does this, both in Chrome and Firefox -- I have page numbers at the side *and* starred page numbers at the page break (in-line). Having both is perfect, because the side numbers make page numbers easier to find. I added the extension just out of curiosity (maybe it would remove the side numbers, which might sometimes be useful), but it doesn't seem to have any effect.
