So, how about a rechargeable holster instead, with a built in battery? These already exist as an after-market accessory for the iPhone and several Blackberry models, so why not for each of the power-hundgry 4G phones entering the market (so far that includes the HTC Thunderbird, Samsung Droid Charge and Motorola Bionic)? The OEMs and the carriers who are promoting 4G should have had such an accessory available at release, since it would have eliminated the battery drainage dilemma, and made it far more likely that consumers would be willing to move up to 4G, despite the complaint that 4G takes lots of power.
